An Independent Employer’s Liability Insurance (ELL) policy can be issued, or an extension can be added to the workmen’s compensation policy, exclusively to meet the needs of the insured. ELL indemnifies the employers to pay compensation, which they are legally required to pay under the law of the country for personal injury or death by accident arising out of and in the course of employment. The compensation is paid based upon the court’s judgement.
